Living in a Dog’s Moment

There is so much talk lately on living in the moment.  Recently I watched with great interest for 10 weeks as Oprah and Eckart Tolle discussed his book, “A New Earth.”  It is not for everyone, but for those that are ready to move to a more conscious way of thinking it really (or literally!) makes you stop and ponder what living in the moment is all about.

During a recent discussion with my husband, living fully in the moment and what that means to me brought up differing points of view.  Living my purpose of sharing Frankie’s story with others is something I am really enjoying.  But, knowing she will not be here someday is what my husband worries about in regards to how I will cope.

I realize death is a part of life and to live as if death is the next breath and joy must be surrendered, is not how I want to look at things.  I want to enjoy the here and now as if the clock does not tick forward.
