Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog Wants to Meet You at GermanFest!

Two years ago my husband and I took Frankie to GermanFest in Milwaukee, WI and entered her in the dachshund costume contest.  For the past 4-years they have had dachshund wiener races and a costume contest.

In part I wanted to bring Frankie to the festival to bring more awareness to dogs in wheelchairs and show others that despite a wheelchair, dogs are happy and content.  It was a great event and many were inspired by Frankie.  It was a success!  And to top it off, Frankie won first place for her costume as a train which my husband lovingly made for her.

This year we will return to GermanFest, but not in costume.  We will have a table set up to continue our mission in bringing a positive face to animals with disabilities.  Frankie will be ‘pawtographing’ her books and a portion of proceeds from the day will be donated to Dodgerslist (educational resource for pets diagnosed with IVDD).

We would love to meet you!  The festivities begin at noon, but come early and explore the grounds before all the wiener events which begin at noon on Sunday, July 25th.
