Interview with Cassy Tully- Fine Art, Part One

In a recent post I shared with you my gift from the heart, that still brings tears to my eyes when I think about the moment my husband surprised me with a painting of Frankie done by the talented Cassy Tully.

Since then, Cassy Tully and I have gotten to know each other better.  She recently visited my writing studio for tea, and to present me with my new addition to my product line, which are Frankie greeting cards.  I will have those available soon on my website.

Cassy and I thought it would be fun to share our thoughts via video about the painting…

So here is part one of my interview with Cassy sharing her thoughts on what it meant for her to paint Frankie, her technique and so much more.  Stay tuned for part two soon, and then Cassy turns the camera around and interviews me in a future post, so be sure to watch for all the fun videos!

Five Tips to Create Publicity For Your Book

Five Tips to Create Publicity for Your Book

by Barbara Techel, author of Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog book series

Having virtually no experience in the book industry, I set out with the will to learn and the passion to share my message. Here are some ideas that have worked for me:

1. Watch what other authors do, especially in your genre or area of expertise. Follow them via Facebook or Twitter, study their websites, and build a relationship with them. I’ve learned many valuable lessons from other authors that have helped me spread my message. One way in particular, is watching what radio shows they are doing and then pitching to that particular radio show.

Inspiring Two-Legged Rudy and Inspiring Mom Jennifer Kenney!

Everytime I see a story like this one of Rudy it warms my heart…the more positive attention we can bring to animals with special needs, the more will live long, happy lives.  Those of us lucky enough to have a pet with special needs know what a blessing these critters are… and how our life enriches ten-fold from all that we learn from them.

Thank you Jennifer for seeing all the beauty and wonder of Rudy!  And thank you Life with Dogs for sharing this story where I originally learned of Rudy and Jennifer.
