Remember that song, “There’s a Kind of Hush” by Herman’s Hermits? It popped in my head this morning as our small town of 947, a tourist destination, which has been hopping all summer long, is now quiet once again. The tourists have all gone home and the kids are back in school. Ahhhhh, yes, I welcome the quiet with just the sound of the wind, the bees, crickets and cicadas. The bumble bees and honey bees are really loving my Sedum plants – come see in this video I did for you of my gardens (please excuse the shakiness of the camera at times. I must practice if I want to do more videos)! And be sure to watch for Gidget in the background, too as she is soaking up all the stillness also.
