Carefree and adaptable, Hedgehog befriends Ladybug and brings you the reminder that new beginnings, growth, and change are inevitable. During adolescence, Hedgehogs shed their spine and grow a permanent adult one. They are also symbolic of a connection to motherhood. In this way, Hedgehog invites you to explore your relationship to your
mother or ways in which you may need to mother yourself. For example, is there a situation or challenge you need to take responsibility for without advice or help?
While the days of youth may be behind you, there may be times when you want to call upon your mom or a mother figure who has been there in the past to help guide you through challenges. But, like Hedgehog, who needs plenty of room to roam, it’s time to step into your own space of sovereignty to create a life coming from making your own decisions.
