Faithfully Yours: The Amazing Bond Between Us and the Animals We Love

Faithfully Yours: The Amazing Bond Between Us and the Animals We Love

I never imagined almost eight years ago when I published my first children’s book, and then went on to publish another one, plus a memoir, that I’d also have the opportunity to share the story of my special bond with Frankie, my dachshund in a wheelchair, in so many other books by other authors.

I think this is the seventh or eighth such book – I have lost track, really. But truly, how honoring it is to keep spreading a message of hope that Frankie was to me and so many others, even after three years since she’s been gone.

I’m excited to share with you that author, Peggy Frezon has done it again with another book to share with us all that will no doubt make us cry and laugh and give a grateful thanks once again for how incredibly lucky we are to share this earth with animals.

Dr. Marty Becker, “American’s Veterinarian” as seen on Good Morning America and The Dr. Oz Show, provided this endorsement of Peggy’s book which is available for pre-order on Amazon:

“Blissfully engaging and full of love. Faithfully Yours beautifully conveys the connection between animals and their people. A heartwarming must-read for anyone who has experienced the power of this bond.”

Be sure to stay tuned to Peggy’s website and/or Facebook page for the premiere book trailer for this sure to be delightful book, which will air on Monday, August 24th. I’ll be sure to share on my Facebook page too!

Connecting with an Animal Friend Who Has Passed Over

Connecting with an animal friend who has passed over
My SoulCollage(r) card I made after Dawn took me through a meditation

I’ve had some beautiful experiences over the years of not only connecting with an animal friend while they were alive, but after they have physically left this world also.

Each a gift in a profound way. Each a way in which I could heal on another level.

I truly believe animals are the mirrors to our souls, often reflecting what is going on in our own lives, trying to help us learn and understand, and deepen our compassion.

One thing because of my work and having written a few books, I often hear from others and their struggle to move through the loss of an animal friend. They want to know how to move through many feelings and often how to let go of guilt.

I’ve thought about how I could possibly help for quite some time now and I’m really excited to announce an online course I’ve co-created with a dear friend of mine, who is an animal communicator, and author of many books, Dawn Baumann Brunke.

The name of our online workshop is Connecting with An Animal Friend Who Has Passed Over through SoulCollage(r) and Animal Communication

We will help guide you through meditation, an understanding of the basics of animal communication and a creative and delightful process of SoulCollage® as a way in which you can honor and pay tribute to a special animal friend who has passed over.

How My ‘She Shed’ Helped Me Reach a Higher Calling- My TV Interview with CBS 58.

CBS 58

If you weren’t able to catch my interview on CBS 58 this morning, here it is as a replay.

My best friend, Victoria, called me this morning after she saw the interview. And what was lost on me for a moment, came into full view when she mentioned the fact that she was reminded of our friendship and the loss of my chocolate Lab, Cassie Jo, ten years ago when she caught the photo of her in the interview.

I wrote about Cassie Jo in a post yesterday. She was the one who inspired me to find the courage to look into my heart to discover I wanted to try my hand at writing….follow my heart…and see where it would take me.

The fact that this piece about my writing cottage, my writing, my books, my animal advocacy, and encouraging others to follow their hearts aired today, a decade later of some pretty pivotal moments in my life…. well, it would be hard to convince me that spirit is not working magic in my life.

It took me many years and lots of hard work on myself to come to a place of acceptance of who I am. I am proud of this story that Reporter Marshanna Hester & Photojournalist, Brian Urbanek, captured so beautifully….and I’m so grateful.

It truly is my hope that this will inspire other women to know it is more than okay to stop each day and find quiet and creativity for themselves.

Maybe a space of one’s own isn’t quite in the cards yet, but a dream for the future — but to find a way in which to honor yourself and your needs right now, in the way you can best fit it in at this time — this is my hope.

I truly believe that when we do, we are better for it — and that is what you take out into the world — and everyone around us benefits.

We all need to find a way to shine our inner light and I encourage you to shine yours starting today.
