DogTipper.com and Remembering Peanut and Daisy (The Duck & the Dachshund)

Recently I found this wonderful new website, DogTipper.com run by freelance writer’s Paris Permenter and John Bigley.  I’m thrilled they accepted Joyful Paws blog and Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog blog in their blog directory (thank you John and Paris!)

About DogTipper

DogTipper.com spans over 3,000 pages, covering dog tips, pet product reviews, dog news, celebrity canines, Dog of the Day, dog-centric festivals, dog travel, and more. We conduct weekly giveaways of interest to pet lovers.

Paris and John’s New Book

Barkonomics, Tips for Frugal Fido’s (sounds very interesting, doesn’t it?)

I corresponded with Paris on Facebook and she shared a link to a story she wrote for Reader’s Digest years ago about her Dachshund, Peanut and a duck she had named Daisy, and how they were the best of friends (Peanut is also believed to have suffered from IVDD).  I asked Paris if I could share her story on my blog and she agreed.  It is so moving and full of so many lessons.  I hope you will enjoy as much as I did. PS:  You might need a tissue.

Cassy Tully-Fine Art Interviews Children’s Author, Barbara Techel

Artist Cassy Tully turned the camera on me after I interviewed her in the last two blog posts on her life as an artist and what it meant for her to paint Frankie.  She now interviews me on what the painting means to me… as well as what my writing studio means to me, and so much more!  Enjoy!

Please note:  The Frankie greeting cards will be available soon on my website.  Once I have them ready for sale I will be sure to let you know via my blog.

Inspiring Two-Legged Rudy and Inspiring Mom Jennifer Kenney!

Everytime I see a story like this one of Rudy it warms my heart…the more positive attention we can bring to animals with special needs, the more will live long, happy lives.  Those of us lucky enough to have a pet with special needs know what a blessing these critters are… and how our life enriches ten-fold from all that we learn from them.

Thank you Jennifer for seeing all the beauty and wonder of Rudy!  And thank you Life with Dogs for sharing this story where I originally learned of Rudy and Jennifer.
