One of my joyful things in life is picking out and planting flowers each spring season. It was an exceptionally warm March (over 19 days above average temps!) and I was chomping at the bit to get planting. But had to resist the urge as we could still get snow around here.

So for now, will admire this picture I took last year after a successful visit to a local nursery.  Can you guess which “flower” is my favorite in this photo?

I always take Frankie with me to Millhome Greenhouse . They LOVE when she comes to visit and she rides on the flower cart while I cruise the floral scented isles and my eyes take in all the brilliant colors of yellow, orange, pink, red and purple.

My favorite flower is the ranunculus- it’s a perennial. I tried growing it one year, but the rabbits ate them once they came up.  Oh dear.
