Weekly Oracle Reading: You Pick a Card To Reveal Your Animal Guide for the Week

It’s a new week! Today, instead of a video oracle reading, I’m bringing the reading to you in written form. I had some technical difficulties to address this morning, plus a family issue I needed to attend to, so alas, this is what worked best to at least offer some support and guidance for the week.

Take a moment to look at each of the cards above. Think about a question/concern you are pondering. Take a few deep inhales and exhales. Then choose a card you feel drawn to.

I share the message of each card below and then below that I’ve done a general reading of the three cards together. Think of the card you chose as additional insight for what you need to hear/ponder for the week.

Now scroll a little way down to see the cards…

Keep going….

Hippity hoppity….

Almost there….  🙂

Card one:  Frog – Cleansing (from Animal Dreaming Oracle Cards by Scott Alexander King)

How to best move forward with any area of your life you are concerned with or have a question about? How often it is that we can get caught up on the mind taking over and creating a variety of different scenarios (usually exaggerated or worst-case scenario), which more than often never come true.

Frog is inviting you to take a moment to suction cup yourself in place. I use his phrase of ‘suction cup yourself in place’ as I saw in my mind’s eye a frog doing just that as I tapped into the energy of frog. When needing to make a decision you are unsure of or feel challenged its human nature to want to jump first without stopping to thoroughly evaluate the situation.

Taking a moment (or more) to pause, tune in, and clear away what is coming from a place of fear will help to make a sound decision of how to move forward.

Interesting to note that is exactly what I needed to do for myself as I began today. I needed to pause and go within in order to access how to best move forward and through my day with more ease. After pulling cards for myself around a situation I’m concerned about and journaling my thoughts and feelings, I had a much clearer path, and now it’s not as cluttered with the what if’s or emotions that can tend to take over if I don’t check in with myself.

So Frog is inviting you to do the same and clear away what is not serving you in a positive way that could be keeping you stuck, while also being with what is coming up and understanding what that is about for you. Frog being about transformation also, it’s when we stop and clear the clutter that we can evolve into a better version of ourselves that is able to handle with grace what needs to be attended to.

Card two: Beetle – Purity (from Animal Kin Oracle by Sarah Wilder)

When I think of Beetle I think of how ancient this creature is and the many varieties of forms they come in. I’m noting also how interesting it follows the frog card and the message of cleansing. So if you picked this card you may also want to read the message from Frog also.

When our mind is muddied with fear or worry we can’t make decisions that will serve our highest good. I’m seeing the June Bug as I think about Beetle and how often I’ve come across them and they are flipped upside down and can’t get themselves upright again.

In this deck, the Beetle is associated with the element of Spirit. Where perhaps have you lost touch with your higher source and all that is? What is it you need to do (or just be) to bring yourself back in touch and closer to that light of source that is there to guide you if you take some time to reconnect within? Having a connection to Spirit and believing that it always has your best interest in mind can help to move you back into a space that is more pure and peaceful and then helps you feel more confident in moving forward with a situation/question you are feeling challenged by.

Card three: Cat (From Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides by Dr. Steven Farmer)

Where perhaps are you relying too much on outside influences or others to help you with a decision? Cat is inviting you to tap into the wisdom you’ve gained and rely on that knowing within you that you can absolutely do what is right for your life.

It may be a good time to be like a cat and find a nice warm spot in the sun and curl up with your thoughts and tap into your heart where so many of the true answers lie for how to make the best and right decision for what you are contemplating.

An overall reading of the three cards:

How interesting it is that Frog asks us to not leap forward until we first give ourselves time to be with what it is we need to clean up within ourselves before taking action. Beetle then shows us that with this space of a clearer understanding of our feelings and where they are coming from helps us to move forward from a purer state of being. And Cat as the final card assures us that we can do anything and to trust in ourselves!

What additional insight did you gain from the card you personally picked? Let me know in the comments if you feel called to share. I’m sure it will be helpful to others as well to hear!

Barbara
