The Christmas Spirit Has Been Amped Up with a a Snow Storm at Joyful Pause Cottage Studio

We woke up to the first round of snow that fell during the overnight hours. When I opened our bedroom blinds, the sun emblem on our chiminea looked more like Old Man Winter.

We are under a winter storm warning through Saturday! Lots of snow is expected and then temps plunge waaaaay below zero with winds expected to gust up to 65 miles an hour. So, as we like to say, we are hunkered down. Always feels so cozy when snow is falling and I’m tucked inside my sweet cottage studio creating some art!

I do have added concern for our feathered and furred friends, but continue to sprinkle extra seed on the deck each morning. It’s always a big success with birds and a few rabbits that come to refuel for the cold days ahead.

I’m also learning how to work with my new camera that has a video feature and captured this short video of the snow coming down outside Joyful Pause Cottage studio with the birds feasting on seeds. It is quite festive and adds an extra layer of Christmas spirit to the season.

Happy Holidays, friends! xo
