Wednesdays with the Wisdom of Dog: Stand in Your Truth

IMG_2355 c

Stand in your truth. There is no other way in which to truly live. When we allow our light of truth to shine, we open doorways to invite more of who we are in.

It seems when we find the courage to own a piece of our truth, another teaching shows up to test us. This will in turn lead us deeper into our authenticity if we don’t let fear stand in the way.

I find myself in this place yet again as a new lesson on Self and trust of my inner voice presents itself, almost as if a mirror to me from Gidget—as she encourage’s me to lean into my intuition.

There is definitely something to this sprite of a spirit that I’ve been blessed with that I so want to honor, and in turn, I realized I am also honoring myself.

I continue to be in immense gratitude and complete awe for what our animal friends give to us when we are open to receive.

Wednesdays with the Wisdom of Dog: Short and Sweet

proud g

I am making this short and sweet today (pun intended!) as Miss Gidget and I are off for our 2-hour road trip shortly to see holistic vet, Dr. Andrea. It will be a full day of travel and consultation.

So today’s wisdom:  Live from the inside, out. In other words, listen to that beautiful, full, pumping heart of yours and follow it’s lead. Always.

Wednesdays With the Wisdom of Dog: Just Be.

be

This is part of a weekly series of lessons I’ve learned from my dogs, and/or something I feel they are trying to teach us. I welcome your thoughts on any of the lessons or teachings that resonate with you.

Dog has the answer for we humans who can sometimes become so obsessed with doing, striving, and achieving. They are witness to how oftentimes this leaves human exhausted and looking like they are lost.

Find a quiet place to sit. Perhaps under a tree. Now just be. There is nothing to do and it’s okay. Feel that? A slowing down of your heart beat? A wave of calm wash over your frazzled nerves?

You are a human being. So just be. Practice at least once a day for 5-10 minutes and you will understand the secret of Dog. I double dog dare you.
