Another Quote of the Day

Just had to share this one too.

"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled.  For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."         ~M. Scott Peck

January 2005 I was feeling unhappy and deeply saddened because my chocolate lab, Cassie had been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer one month earlier.  I was trying to enjoy every moment I had with her.  In those moments of living in the moment with Cassie, I realized I wanted more of that going forward.  Cassie gave me that gift.  I realized I wanted more joy, more purpose, more fulfillment.  As big as the fear and discomfort was to do something about it, I took the leap and hired a life coach.  It did lead me to my truth and it was and has been exhilarating.  We each have the power within us to make those changes. Reading this quote reminded me of where I was and what I have accomplished and what more I want to do.  After experiencing all of this I have wished many times I could bottle it and give it away.  But the truth is if we each want to find our own truths, we have to take the leap.  But I promise when you do, you will never regret it.

Quote of the Day

This awesome quote was at the bottom of Teacher Librarian, Karen's email she sent me.  I just had to share!  As a lover of books since a little girl, and now into adulthood. books have expanded my world in so many ways.  Some, if not many books, have changed the course of my life most definitely for the better.

"At the moment  that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better.  It's an enormous force for good."  Barack Obama

Thank You Dachshunds Delights

Our good friend, Jerry Stemnock over at Dachshund Delights wrote a very nice story about Frankie's soon to be induction into the Pet Hall of Fame.  Jerry continually cheers us on and supports our message by helping spread it through the wonderful Dachshund Delights website.  Frankie is on the front page today and thought you might want to check it out. There is an "exclusive scoop" at the end of the story, so be sure and read all the way to the bottom.

While there, be sure and check out the great harnesses Hug-A-Dog makes.  Frankie has two of them and she loves them.  They keep pressure off her spine because her leash attaches to a D-ring on the back of the vest.  It also works great to attach her doggie car seat strap to so she is secure when driving in the car.

Thanks again, Jerry!  You are the best!
