During this tough economy Ben Stein really hit it on the head when he talks about getting a dog.

In my opinion, he is absolutely, 100% right on!  Dogs help us to see what is right in front of us.  They help to calm us.  They love us whether or not we have money.  They love us no matter what.  They are always there for us.  Dogs teach us about life… they really do!  We just need to wake up to the facts of what is really important while we are here on earth.  Just observe a day through your dogs eyes… you will be amazed at what you will see and how you will feel.  Dogs are such a gift… and during these times, that gift is priceless.  Now go hug your dog!

Frankie and I are very happy to report that doxie Callie (aka, Miss Plumpette) is home after being at the hospital for three weeks.  You may recall she had radiation treatments for a brain tumor.  Prognosis is very good.

We are so very happy, Callie that you are doing so well!  Frankie did wheelie's in her cart and I did a happy dance in celebration!  We think you are quite the trooper, Callie!
