I sometimes still shake my head in wonder that Miss Marie is now my friend.
I’ve written about her before on my blog. The woman who I always thought of as the “mysterious, eccentric, lady” who lived in the big, white 2-story house on the corner one block from the post office in our small town.
She lives only five minutes from me and and our friendship continues to blossom. It’s hard to believe we’ve only been friends, really, for about a year now.
But just as one friendship ended which was hard for me a little over a year ago, and we went our separate ways, it opened the door for Miss Marie and I to connect.
I don’t really have many friends, but the ones I do have are precious to me. I prefer to not have too many as I need a lot of time to myself, too.
But Miss Marie is quite special and I love to hear her chatter away about her artwork. She makes the most exquisite one-of-a-kind pillows. Hopefully she will have them on Esty soon and I’m also trying to talk her into starting a Facebook page. Stay tuned… she is a work in progress. Grin.
