Imagine my surprise when Frankie and I visited Libby’s House this month and we were gifted with a Cali lily plant for me and a toy for Frankie. Little did I know it was National Volunteer Month. The staff and residents were thanking us for our time we spend with them. They wrote a poem for us and all the residents signed it. I was touched to tears. Volunteering has brought me immense rewards of the heart. Giving back is something that cannot be described in words, but only truly felt by experiencing if for yourself. I would encourage each of you to find one hour a month to volunteer. It will give you energy and joy like nothing else can!
