I so wanted to catch this Oriole taking a bath in the bird bath, but all the photos came out blurry. Partly because I was shooting through the screen of my writing cottage door and also in a hurry and didn’t get the focus quite right. But nature does not wait for me to adjust my camera!
And then as he took flight, I realized I wasn’t fast enough on the trigger to get all of him. Dang! But when I brought up the photo of my computer I realized I captured the water trailing behind him.
So while I missed it… I got it! And I’ll settle for what I didn’t expect! Which is a good lesson about life…expectations can often set us up for disappointment…but the unexpected can leave us pleasantly surprised.
