Today I had a wonderful thing happen! I have been submitting Frankie’s book synopsis to various review sites requesting to be reviewed. One of the websites I was hoping to get a review with is Reader Views Kids, reviews by kids, for kids (http://www.readerviewskids.com:80/). It usually takes a LONG time to get a review with this company. Your book has to first be accepted and then it is sent out to a list of reviewers and you wait to hear if someone is interested in reviewing it. I sent out my request to Reader Views Kids last week and today received an email which said a girl named Brianne wanted to review my book… and she was from Appleton, which is only 1 hour from where I live!! I thought, “How fun is this?” So I emailed back and told Irene (who is the head of the company) how cool it is that Brianne lives close by. Now it gets even better… Irene emailed me back and included the note from the little 10-year old girl and here it is exactly as Brianne wrote it:
Can I read and review the following book: Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog by Barbara Gail Techel (I wanted this book when we had a author party or something at our library I asked my mom if I could have she said she didn’t have enough money, it was when my dad lost his job). Please save Frankie for me.
Can you see why my heart overflows today? When these things happen it is hard for me to describe in words what it means to me. It is an AMAZING feeling!! You can bet this little girl will get more in the mail than just Frankie’s book… she will have a few little extra’s just from Frankie and me. Ahhh, my heart overflows!
