The Fairies Came to Dance (video) Plus Oracle and Animal Guidance For the Week

What is it that we need to see a higher perspective of in order to break free?

This is the question that came to mind as I pulled these two cards for our guidance for the week.

The giraffe tall and one who walks with such ease and grace invites us to know that there is no hurry to fully understand a challenge or situation we may find ourselves in that we don’t yet know the answer to.

In order to gain insight and clarity, we are being asked to allow grace to lead the way, open our eyes and our heart to a larger and more vast perspective – simmer and rest in different views – and apply this contemplative spaciousness to an area we perhaps feel stuck in.

It’s in the allowing of our minds to clear of mental clutter, appreciating and soaking in the unknown, and allowing what needs to enter as a whisper from our inner knowing, that a breakthrough is able to flow naturally and help us see things from a different and more enlightened perspective.

It takes courage to follow your truth after you’ve discerned all the vast opinions and thoughts from others. But it’s with the grace and ease of Giraffe that you hold your head high and move forward with what matters most to your soul in order to evolve.

As I was moving through my yoga practice this morning I was struck by the sun dancing through the birch tree leaves as I saw it through my window.

We are able to see energy though I’ve not yet been able to, but do know of someone who has experienced this. I couldn’t help but to at first think this is what I was seeing until I realized it was the sun filtering through the birch leaves and seeing it through my window made it appear in a light I’d not witnessed before. And then I just couldn’t’ help think it was the fairies that were here this morning doing a special and magical dance just for me to see.

I grabbed my phone and was able to capture the dancing of light or faeries if you choose to call it this too – and was surprised at how well it came through. Just look at the trunk of the tree and right in front of it you should see the sparkle of dancing light. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

Wishing you a beautiful week filled with lots of light…and a few fairies to guide you too.  🙂

Spirit Animal Oracle Reading for May 2019

Note: Dragonfly and Sandpiper in protection (upside down) which means to pay extra attention and a message of helping you to avoid difficulties.

Dragonfly as our anchor for the month of May asks where is it you are finding yourself caught in an illusion? Where is it perhaps you aren’t being honest with yourself? When we aren’t in touch with our truth it can feel heavy and like we are carrying a burden.

Sandpiper encourages us that when we feel this way it’s time to get out of our heads. How often do we get caught in the trap of trying to mentally figure things out? And only end up in an endless battle that loops over and over in our minds?

Sandpiper encourages us to take some time out for play. With their long graceful legs and long beak, Sandpiper encourages us to be light on our feet – dance – splash in the puddles and sing in the rain – whatever feels like play to you, do that! This is when without effort, the answers we were mentally digging so hard to find come effortlessly floating to the surface.  When this happens, pay attention to that vital shift within you that just occurred!  You will feel lighter not only in body but in mind and heart, too.

Wasp reminds us that when we lose our way it can indeed sting. But it’s also an opportunity to come back to the center of the truth of what we know. How often have you looked back and realized something that was painful brought you to a new understanding you’d not have had otherwise?  So when you lose your way, don’t forget to take time out to ground yourself. And when you feel ready, spread those newly expanded wings and fly back into the world again!

***In honor of Gidget’s 12th birthday I’m offering $12.00 off the price of a one hour Oracle Reading and Guidance Session with me. Expires May 31st, 2019. You can book your session here on my website.

Robin Had a Message for Me About the Writing Process

I spied this Robin gathering materials for her nest outside my bedroom window this morning. How exciting to see new life is in progress!

With her mouth full of materials, I watched as she flew to the dwarf lilac tree, hopped carefully through the tight-knit branches and added to her creation of what will soon be her home sweet home. What a perfect tree for her to build her nest where she will raise her first brood. It faces the east and gets lots of morning sunshine. Not to mention the bonus for me as I can see it from my bedroom window and my writing cottage window.

I couldn’t help but think how I’m nesting just like the Robin. No, I’m not expecting. Well, in a way, I guess you could say I am.

Late last week I received feedback from one of my beta readers for my upcoming memoir, I’m Fine Just the Way I Am. To me, writing a book is like different stages of life. From starting with the idea to writing the draft, to reworking it until it feels right to send out to beta readers, to reworking it again, then sending it off to the editor, and reworking yet again, and then finally… off to the printers! But it doesn’t’ end there.

As I watched the Robin gathering materials, adding them to what will soon be a completed nest, which will soon be filled with eggs, to her sitting on her eggs until they hatch, and eventually her baby birds who will fly off into the world on their own.

I realized writing this book the importance of the nesting stage has been for me. I’ve been preparing myself emotionally along with news things I always seem to learn about the writing process, to eventually sending my book out into the world.

I really don’t know where it will land, but yet I trust that it will.

And speaking of my book….back to the nest I must go and give new life to the text that needs reworking!
