Meet Rhy. Soon to be Rolling on Wheels!

Meet Rhy. Soon to be Rolling on Wheels!
Rhy

Seems Rhy is tired of being measured and just wants to get things over with so her new wheels can be built! What a great shot her owner caught of her yawning, don’t you think? It wasn’t even planned!

But soon enough, she will indeed be rolling. The Frankie Wheelchair Fund is happy to provide the funds for a “front wheel” drive cart for this pretty, little girl. Rhy makes the 56th dog we’ve helped become mobile.

She has a deformed front leg and with her advancing age, she simply can’t get around anymore or go for walks, which she loves.

But soon enough, this pretty snowflake will be rolling down the sidewalk. Stay tuned!

Abbey in her new set of wheels!

It’s true!  Abbey is the 54th dog the Frankie Wheelchair Fund had the honor to grant a wheelchair to recently. This is the note I received from Hearts4Doxies who Abbey found her way to for a better life:

Barbara Techel, you are Abbey’s guardian angel and we love you.

Before being rescued, our little girl was forced to live outside for years due to her incontinence, never having an opportunity to leave her homemade cart that was far too small, damaging to her spine, and causing her constant pain and emotional distress.

I don’t know as I’m her guardian angel, but I feel blessed to be part of Abbey’s joyful new journey. So many have helped me and continue to help me with donations which makes this all possible. So many guardian angels out there!

And this note from Abbey’s foster mom, Kristen:

We, as her foster family, are forever grateful to Barbara Techel . Abbey is living the dream and chasing the birds in her awesome new set of wheels. Thank you Hearts4Doxies and Barbara for giving Abbey a new chance in life. If she could talk she would say, ” Thank you!”.

I’d say the look on her face says it all and yes, thank you, it is!  So so thrilled to help you dear, Abbey.  Keep on rolling!

Meet Magoo! The 53rd Disabled Dog The Frankie Wheelchair has Helped.

Meet Magoo! The 53rd Disabled Dog The Frankie Wheelchair has Helped.

No better way, I think, than to start a Monday with a happy, rolling, weenie dog!

Meet Magoo!  He’s been rolling awhile now in his Eddie’s Wheels cart. His mom has had a few knocks and is trying hard to pay off the surgery for Magoo with a Go Fund Me effort (she is soooooo close!).

Magoo’s mom reached out saying:

I hope you can help us. If I can get this bill paid down, I can start Magoo in PT on an appointment by appointment basis. When I have these debts paid, I will happily pay it forward to you in what small donations I can muster over time.

Magoo’s mom also had many people say she should put Magoo down, but she knows IVDD is not a death sentence and she is doing all she can to help Magoo.

And just so you know, Magoo’s wheels have not slowed him down one bit. Check out these short videos below.
